NORWICH — A new series of volunteer English as a second language training programs will begin Wednesday, Jan. 10.
The free program of Literacy Volunteers of Southeastern Connecticut will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Jan. 10, 24 and 31 at the First Baptist Church at 239 West Main St.
“Our three-module program will equip new volunteers to begin tutoring people new to our country who want to improve their English speaking and writing ability,” said John Wong, training coordinator.
